Products

For all its traditional beauty, masonry is as much a science as an art. The integrity of masonry is contingent on the mortar specified, the most integral component of any masonry assemblage. SPEC MIX® eliminates the inconsistencies associated with some field proportioned mortars, especially in colored mortars. The computer-batching process ensures that materials are consistent from bag to bag, so you know the color will be the same from start to finish. If a project requires specific performance requirements, customized mixes can be formulated by our Engineering Services Center.

PORTLAND LIME & SAND MORTAR (PL-01) (TYPE M, S, N) (PL-02, PL-03, PL-04)

SPEC MIX® Portland Lime & Sand mortar is a dry preblended mortar mix containing portland cement, hydrated lime and dried masonry sand formulated for superior bond, water retention and board life. Meets ASTM C 270 requirements.

PORTLAND LIME & SAND / COLOR MORTAR (PL-05) (TYPE M, S, N)

SPEC MIX Portland Lime & Sand / Color is a dry preblended mortar mix containing portland cement, hydrated lime, dried masonry sand and color pigment formulated for superior bond, workability and board life. Meets ASTM C 270 requirements.

MASONRY CEMENT & SAND MORTAR (MC-01) (TYPE M, S, N) (MC-02, MC-03, MC-04)

SPEC MIX Masonry Cement & Sand Mortar is a dry, preblended mortar mix containing either masonry cement or mortar cement and dried masonry sand formulated for superior bond and workability while meeting ASTM C 270 requirements.

MASONRY CEMENT & SAND / COLOR MORTAR (MC-05) (TYPE M, S, N)

SPEC MIX Masonry Cement & Sand / Color Mortar is a dry, preblended mortar mix containing either masonry cement or mortar cement, dried masonry sand and pigment formulated for superior bond and workability while meeting ASTM C 270 requirements.

IWR INTEGRAL WATER REPELLENT MORTAR (IW-01)

SPEC MIX IWR (Integral Water Repellent Mortar is a dry, preblended mortar mix containing portland cement and hydrated lime, mortar cement or masonry cement with dried masonry sand and water repellant admixture formulated for water repellency, superior bond, water retention and board life. Meets ASTM C 270 requirements.

TUCKPOINT MORTAR (TP-01)

SPEC MIX Tuckpoint Mortar is a specialized blend of cementitious materials and aggregates specifically formulated for superior bond and tooling characteristics when applied in a tuckpointing application while meeting ASTM C 270 requirements for tuckpointing mortar. Tuckpoint Mortar is available in any color through a custom color match and can be custom blended with performance admixtures such as integral water repellents, bond enhancers and air entraining to meet any project specification.

SET ACCELERATED MORTAR (SM-02)

SPEC MIX® Set Accelerated Mortar is a dry preblended mortar mix containing Portland cement, hydrated lime or masonry Cement or mortar cement, dried masonry sand, and set accelerating admixtures formulated for faster set times in cold weather while maintaining superior bond, water retention and board life. Meets ASTM C 270 and ASTM C 1384 requirements.

SET DELAYED MORTAR (SM-01)

SPEC MIX® Set Delayed Mortar is a dry preblended set-delayed mortar mix containing Portland cement, hydrated lime, Masonry Cement or Mortar Cement, dried masonry sand and set delaying admixtures formulated to slow down set times, maximize board life, while maintaining superior bond, and proper water retention in hot weather conditions. Meets ASTM C 270 and ASTM C 1384 requirements.

DRY PACK MORTAR (DP-01)

SPEC MIX Dry Pack Mortar is a dry, preblended setting mortar that contains cement and aggregates designed for placing stone, concrete pavers, granite, marble and other solid units on horizontal surfaces. When mixed to the desired consistency, Dry Pack provides good working times and high strengths to meet project requirements.

UNDERGROUND UTILITY MORTAR (UG-01)

SPEC MIX Underground Utility Mortar is a dry preblended mortar mix containing Portland cement and hydrated lime, Masonry Cement or Mortar Cement and dried masonry sand formulated for superior bond and outstanding freeze-thaw resistance in all underground pre-cast concrete structure applications. Meets ASTM C 270 requirements.
