In 1990, SPEC MIX® came to the masonry industry with an innovative idea: Streamline the "traditional" jobsite mixing process with factory produced, high performance products and silo delivery systems. Since then, SPEC MIX® has grown into more than just a provider of preblended mortar. Now an industry leader, SPEC MIX® is an organization of 42 manufacturers with distribution to nearly every market in the United States, delivering more than 1.5 million tons of material each year, nationwide!

Our mix design technology, product research and development have kept our products at the top of industry standards. A champion for the masonry industry overall, SPEC MIX® has been a crux for change to keep the industry growing strong well into the future. This commitment to the industry, as well as to our customers, has made SPEC MIX® the premier source for construction products and material delivery systems available.

Products

For all its traditional beauty, masonry is as much a science as an art. The integrity of masonry is contingent on the mortar specified, the most integral component of any masonry assemblage. SPEC MIX® eliminates the inconsistencies associated with some field proportioned mortars, especially in colored mortars. The computer-batching process ensures that materials are consistent from bag to bag, so you know the color will be the same from start to finish. If a project requires specific performance requirements, customized mixes can be formulated by our Engineering Services Center.

CORE FILL GROUT (CF-01)

SPEC MIX Core Fill Grout is a dry, preblended mix containing cementitious materials and dried aggregates formulated for superior flow to fill masonry voids while meeting ASTM C 476 requirements for reinforced masonry construction.

CORE FILL / FINE GROUT (CF-03)

SPEC MIX Core Fill Fine Grout is a dry, preblended mix containing cementitious materials and fine aggregate and is designed to fill masonry voids two inches or less. Fine Grout is formulated for superior flow and cohesiveness while meeting ASTM C 476 requirements for reinforced masonry construction.

CORE FILL / COARSE GROUT (CF-02)

SPEC MIX Core Fill Coarse Grout is a dry, preblended mix containing cementitious materials and coarse aggregate designed to fill masonry voids greater than two inches. Coarse Grout is formulated for superior flow and cohesiveness while meeting ASTM C 476 requirements for reinforced masonry construction.

SELF CONSOLIDATING GROUT (SCG) (SC-01)

SPEC MIX Self Consolidating Grout (SCG) is a dry preblended grout specifically designed to be highly fluid without segregation of the constituents. SPEC MIX SCG is used to bond together adjacent masonry units, fill bond beam sand occupy all areas around steel reinforcementin the cores of the masonry assemblage without mechanical consolidation or reconsolidation. Meets ASTM C 476 requirements for reinforced masonry construction.
